Blind Date with a Werewolf by Patricia Briggs: Exciting and Fun

Dear Asil:

We are worried about you. A werewolf alone is a sad thing, especially at Christmastime. So we have a challenge for you: five dates in three weeks. We have taken the work out of it and connected you with five people from online dating sites. You should also know that we have informed the whole pack and instigated a betting pool. Have fun!

Sincerely,

Your Concerned Friends

Blind Date with a Werewolf by Patricia Briggs is exciting and fun as it explores one of the most tantalizing characters in her Alpha & Omega series, adding in two new short stories and adding to the legend of Asil. I love the character but what I love the most is how in the series of dates, we quickly get to see both his kindness and his danger. The scenarios and dates are interesting and all of the characters likeable. I love the way that Asil’s challenger is disguised and the reader has to determine who might be leading Asil on his merry chase.

I love the way Patricia Briggs wraps up the trailing edges of previous details into the stories and adds in a romantic interest. While the adventure is the biggest part of the stories, the romantic element is enthralling as well. I especially like how the ending ties up the novel.

If you like romantic and adventurous stories of werewolves, you’ll find this one exciting and fun. I loved getting stories about one of my favorite characters from the series in this series of short stories.

Rating: 5 out of 5 dates
